Meet the team

Jess Harris

Hi! I’m Jess, and I am the Owner of Access K-pop! I’ve been a K-pop fan since I was 14 years old, with some of my all-time favourite groups being LE SSERAFIM, Girls Generation, Katseye, and Red Velvet – as you can see, I love girl groups!

I decided to create Access K-pop because I realised that there aren’t many opportunities for K-pop fans living outside of London to come together and build a community through music and dance.

I was lucky enough to go to Brighton for university, where I attended weekly K-pop dance classes. These classes not only helped me to improve my dancing abilities overall, but also helped me to meet new people and make lots of friends.

After moving back to my hometown in 2023, I decided that I wanted other people to experience the same joy that I felt when I attended those classes, so I set up my own weekly K-pop dance classes in Reading at an affordable price so that anyone could take part. After the success of these classes, I branched out to Oxford, and Access K-pop became a reality!

In the future, I hope to bring these classes to more towns around the UK so that I can continue my mission to make K-pop dance classes accessible for everyone.

Jemma Pluck

Hi there, I’m Jemma and I’m one of the teachers for Access K-pop. I’ve been a fan of K-pop since 2017 when Jess introduced me to it back in our college days. My all time favourite groups are Seventeen, Ateez, WEi, SHINee and Pentagon!

When Jess asked me to be a teacher at her classes I was thrilled! I’ve always wanted to teach dance and share my passion with others, adding K-pop in the mix was a bonus. I’ve taught a few K-pop dances to my friends but taking on these classes was a huge jump for me. I am super excited to join the team permanently and continue sharing my love of K-pop and dance.

I believe that dancing is for everyone and no matter what level you are you can enjoy it. I aim to create a positive space in the classes so that everyone feels comfortable and just has fun! All I ask of you is that you try your best.
